House Doctors Handyman of Greensboro Featured on CBS Network’s “Secret Celebrity Renovation”
House Doctors Franchisee Provides Home Renovations for NBA Star Chris Paul
The most trusted source for handyman services, home repair and home improvement in the Triad was recently contracted to contribute to a feel-good home overhaul on CBS network’s “Secret Celebrity Renovation”, which aired nationwide on July 23. Episodes are also available through free online streaming on the CBS website. The show featuring House Doctors is part of the first season of the program, and is episode #3.
Secret Celebrity Renovation allows celebrities a chance to give their loved ones a secret home makeover. House Doctors Handyman of Greensboro joined the episode that featured NBA star Chris Paul, who surprised his grandparents with the renovation of their 50-year-old home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
“Having the opportunity to join the crew redoing the house of who Chris Paul affectionately refers to as his ‘Granny and ‘Pops’ serves as an amazing testament to the reputation we have solidified throughout Greensboro and the Triad region,” said Eric Tysinger, owner of House Doctors Handyman of Greensboro. “My team and I have received amazing responses from people who saw the show, and I believe it has made our connection with the Greensboro area even stronger.”
Paul is a hometown hero in the Triad, having been born and raised in area, as well as attending and playing college basketball locally at Wake Forest University. From his local roots, he has gone on to play 16 years in the NBA, been on 11 All-Star teams, won the Rookie of the Year in 2006, and has played for the U.S. Olympic Men’s Basketball team twice, earning gold in 2008 and 2012.
In supporting the basketball star and his grandparents, House Doctors, removed walls, cabinets, appliances and fixtures in the home. The remodeling team then installed flooring, cabinetry, counter tops and more. The handymen completed this surprise renovation project in just 14 days.
“Eric and his team were selected to be on the Secret Celebrity Renovation show, and that is an honor in itself,” added Jim Hunter, CEO of House Doctors. “His team did an amazing job capturing the desired look and feel for the project, giving Chris and his grandparents the wow factor that was sought. This is what we do every day though – we work to bring homeowners’ visions to life.”
